About us

SANTO NIÑO AGRICULTURE AND MACHINERY TECHNICAL INSTITUTE, INC. was founded by a coalition of regional educators and community leaders who shared the conviction that navigating through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the dissemination of vital expertise, particularly in agriculture and light machinery crafts. This institution was established to meet this imperative.

A skills and knowledge sharing institute promoting a dynamic productive, resilient, countryside with inclusive participation of all citizens in building a sustainably progressive agricultural and light industry base.

  • How to get here?
    1. Land
      • By Car: From Davao or Tagum Bus Terminal, take a bus passing the Municipality of Carmen. You may either drop at the Carmen Municipal Terminal or at a common landmark, the GAVIOLA Hospital at the corner of the Carmen – Panabo City Diversion road. You may then proceed on foot or ride any of the tricycles at the corner.
    2. Sea
      • By Boat: Sasa Wharf is accessible from Iloilo, General Santos and Manila
    3. Air
      • The Davao International Airport accommodates flights from Cebu and Manila.
  • Prospective trainees can enroll by paying the regular training fees. Alternately, they may avail of scholarship programs offered by local governments and the district congressional officers where they reside.

  • SNAMTI presents a range of technical programs granting national certifications in metal fabrication and construction. These include:

    • Hydraulic Excavator NC II for Heavy Equipment Operation
    • Forklift NC II for Heavy Equipment Operation
    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I
    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II
  • Training durations vary according to the TESDA prescribed Training Regulations for each national qualification.

    • Heavy Equipment Operation- Hydraulic Excavator NC II - 23 days and 5 days SIL
    • Heavy Equipment Operation- Forklift NC II - 23 days and 5 days SIL
    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I - 34 days and 3 days entrep training
    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II - 34 days
  • Training costs are set by TESDA. Scholarships may however be availed of from the state. Please contact the registrar's office for more details.

  • Interested applicants should submit the following:

    • Birth Certificate (PSA)
    • Marriage certificate (for married women)
    • Medical certificate certifying that the prospective trainee is physically and mentally fit
    • 3 pcs ID picture passport size- with white collar
    • High School card- high school graduate
    • Alternative Learning Systems (ALS) certificate- for ALS graduate
    • Transcript of records (TOR) - for college graduate/ undergraduate

    • Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I

    Requirements: Birth Certificate, 2 pcs passport ID size, Certificate of Employment - for walk-in/industry worker. The TESDA requires a minimum number of 10 candidates per assessment batch.
